The Latin group is reviving its long forgotten Latin by working through the Cambridge Latin Course. After 74 meetings we have reached Book V of five volumes. We also learn some Roman history and culture and translate passages from the Book of Genesis (Vulgate version). We meet once a month on Wednesday afternoons in a private house. We are not looking for recruits but when we have finished the five book course some time next year we could be open to newcomers who already have some Latin experience as we may then begin exploring Latin literature.
