The aim of the group is to engender lively and convivial discussion about food and wine, while making some interesting wine discoveries from around the world. The meetings involve a tasting of a range of wines, either of a particular type (e.g. a single grape variety such as chardonnay) or from a single country or from a specific wine region (e.g. Beaujolais). There is an emphasis on matching food with wine. Owing to space limitation, the group is nominally limited to 12 - although there are now 15 "regulars".
